How does my donation make a difference?
Just $15 feeds 8 village children. Every single dollar you contribute goes toward buying food items like rice, oil, fresh farm vegetables, and spices. Since we run entirely on village volunteers, there are no administrative cuts.
How can I verify that my money is being spent on cooking drives?
We upload detailed video logs of every single mega cooking drive to our YouTube channel (with over 250,000 subscribers). You can see the food preparation, the quantities bought, and the villagers eating the meals.
Where do you get your ingredients? Do you use local items?
Yes! We purchase all organic vegetables, grains, and spices directly from small-holder farmers in the districts we cook. This ensures freshness and directly supports the rural village economy.
Can I volunteer physically at your kitchen?
Absolutely. If you are residing in or visiting Tamil Nadu, you can register via our Volunteer page. We accept support for chopping vegetables, setting up firewood stoves, serving, and logistics.
Do you receive sponsorships or government funding?
No, we are entirely crowd-funded by individual online donors and from the video revenue generated by our YouTube channel. We do not receive corporate backing or governmental grants, keeping us independent and community-focused.
Do you distribute things other than food?
Yes. During school re-opening seasons, we distribute notebooks, bags, and writing materials to village children. We also supply health mix packets (sathu-maavu) to nursing mothers and elders who suffer from nutrient deficiencies.
