Every child deserves to experience the warmth of a rich, home-cooked meal prepared with care. In this feeding drive, the Pure Village Cooking team came together to cook a grand traditional feast for over 500 children from five orphanages and village shelters in the district.
Using massive copper vessels and traditional firewood logs, our cooks spent hours prepping and cooking fresh ingredients sourced directly from small local farms. The children were served in a festive outdoor courtyard, with tables laid out with fresh banana leaves. It was more than just a feeding campaign; it was a day of pure joy, sharing laughter, and celebrating village food traditions.
To make this feast healthy and pure, we bypassed commercial vegetable markets and sourced organic native crops directly from farmers:
Setting up community kitchens in three remote villages hit by heavy monsoon rains to provide hot, nutritious meals.
Delivering fresh, easy-to-digest traditional meals directly to homebound elders living alone in rural districts.
